What is a Preservé Mastopexy?
A Preservé mastopexy — sometimes called a "Preserve uplift" or "breast lift with the Preserve method" — is a breast lift in which the implant component is performed using the tissue-preserving Preservé technique by Motiva®. Medically it is an augmentation-mastopexy: the lift repositions sagging breast tissue, while a soft Motiva implant restores upper-pole fullness using a minimally invasive, prepectoral approach.
The goal is a breast that is not only fuller, but correctly positioned and natural in shape — with the Preservé philosophy of respecting natural breast anatomy and minimising trauma wherever the patient's anatomy allows.
Two needs, one operation
Position — sagging (ptosis) is corrected by reshaping tissue and, where needed, raising the nipple–areola.
Volume & shape — a Motiva Ergonomix2® JOY implant is placed using the Preservé tissue-sparing, no-touch method for a soft, adaptive feel.
From a gentle uplift to a full lift
Not everyone who searches for a "Preserve breast lift" needs the same operation. The right approach depends on your degree of sagging — assessed by Dr. Beyhan during consultation.
The Preservé "uplift effect"
For mild ptosis, prepectoral placement of a Motiva Ergonomix2® implant via the Preservé technique can restore upper-pole fullness and create a subtle lifted look without skin excision or scars beyond the small under-breast incision. Many such patients can be treated with augmentation alone.
Full Preservé mastopexy
When the nipple sits below the breast crease, a formal lift is added: excess skin is removed and the nipple–areola repositioned, combined with a Preservé-placed implant for volume. This restores both shape and position in one procedure.

How a Preservé mastopexy is performed
Dr. Beyhan assesses your degree of sagging, skin quality and goals, then recommends an uplift via augmentation alone or a combined lift, with implant size and incision plan.
A full lift is typically performed under general anaesthesia. A mild uplift via augmentation alone may, in selected candidates, be possible under tumescent local anaesthesia with light sedation.
Where indicated, excess skin is removed, the breast tissue is reshaped, and the nipple–areola is repositioned to a higher, more youthful level.
The natural plane between breast tissue and chest muscle is gently prepared. Controlled balloon expansion creates the pocket, and the Motiva implant is inserted with a closed, no-touch technique.
Incisions are closed with fine sutures and a surgical bra is applied. Light daily activity often resumes within about a week; intense activity is usually restored over 4–6 weeks.
Good to know
With the Preservé technique the maximum implant size is generally around 330 cc. Preservé is always performed with Motiva Ergonomix2® JOY implants, chosen for their soft, adaptive feel. To date there have been no reported BI-ALCL cases with Motiva SmoothSilk® surfaces in available reporting — this does not mean the risk is zero, and routine follow-up is always recommended.
